Our Story
began in 1958, when F.B. "Buck" Gregory purchased the insurance business from William and Florence Morat. Originally located at the south end of Main Street, the agency later made its home in the familiar brick building at the corner of 50th Street and 50th Avenue — a building that has become part of both our history and our identity.
Buck believed in doing business personally. He knew his clients, understood the importance of a handshake, and built relationships that often lasted for generations. Those values became the foundation of Provost Insurance Agencies and continued to shape the business for years to come. The Gregory family expanded its insurance presence in 1983 with the purchase of E. Anderson Agencies in Hughenden. In 1987, Buck's sons, Randy and Dale Gregory, took over the family business, marking the beginning of its second generation. Together, they continued to build both brokerages on the relationships, values and community commitment established by their father. Today, both locations continue to operate as affiliate brokerages, each proudly maintaining its own identity and community roots.
In 2020, it became the third generation's turn to carry that legacy forward. Randy's son, Nathan Gregory, and Dale's daughter, Nicole Ganser, purchased the business with a shared commitment to keeping their grandfather's vision very much alive.
That family tradition continues today. In 2026, Nicole’s son, Mason Ganser, joined the PIA team, marking another chapter in the agency’s long family history.
Of course, our story has never been about our family alone. We are incredibly fortunate to have a dedicated team who have played an important role in our success. Their knowledge, loyalty and commitment to our clients have helped us build relationships throughout our communities that we are very proud of.
While much has changed since 1958, what matters most to us has not. We believe insurance is about more than policies and premiums — it's about knowing our clients, understanding what matters to them and being there when they need us most.
Four generations later, we remain proud of where we came from, grateful for the people who have trusted us along the way and committed to carrying forward the values on which our previous generations built this business.
